The event consists of a 300m Swim/11.1 mile Bike/2 mile Run and will be held on May 18th at the Texas Ski Ranch.

After a few quiet years from Austin's James Bonney, he returned to the top of the World Ironman scene with a scorching performance out at Ironman Arizona. After leading the race for almost 8 and 1/2 hours, James finished 4th in a time of 8:35:31. It was an 8 minute PR for James and qualified him for the Ironman World Championships later this year in Kona, Hawaii.

Detailed Info:

The Splash & Dash is a multisport event held at Quarry Lake at Pure Austin North. The swim will be one loop of the lake (approx. 750m) and 3 loops on the running trail (approx 3 km). Wave starts will be utilized, depending upon the total number of participants. Water and other nutrition products will be available. Please bring your own swim gear & running gear. Swim caps are required. Results will be posted online. Awards/Prizes for the top finishers.

The Texas Tri Series consists of a full season of fun and challenging triathlon events in the Austin and central Texas region. The Texas Tri Series is composed of 6 triathlon events. Participants can complete the series by participating in all 6 of the events. Participants will be given credit for participating in an event if they finish the event as a competitor, or if they volunteer. The series will conclude with a finisher party.
